Midwest 'N' Pioneer model railroad club was founded over 30 years ago by a group of N-Scale model railroad enthusiasts. During its history, Midwest 'N' Pioneer has seen major changes including four different locations, each requiring a new layout to fit the location. Going on 17 plus years at its current location in Broadview Illinois, Midwest 'N' Pioneer is Chicagoland's largest permanent N-Scale layout running trains in DCC. The club meets twice a week. Meet nights are designated as work or run, sharing ideas, skills and operational information in all aspects of N-Scale model railroading as well as railroading in general.
Open House is held twice each year, in spring and fall. At area Train Shows throughout the year, our club members demonstrate the club's traveling and configurable modular layout. Modules have been built by individual club members to demonstrate single line operation then left to the members imagination and scenic skills.
